Summary

This article covers the following topics with regards to close buttons:

See below how to style and edit a close button using the Campaign Builder Beta.

1. Close button placement

The close button component allows the consumer to close an experience and return to the underlying content of the webpage.

By default, close buttons are mandatory on overlay experiences, meaning that they cannot be deleted. Close buttons are optional on other formats.

Additionally, when present, the close button is always the top layer of the creative, so other components don't overlap with it:

The close button is the only component that can be placed halfway outside of the creative's borders both horizontally and vertically:

When a new stage is added to the experience, it will automatically inherit the position and styling of the close button of the previous stage with the same format.

2. Close Button Templates

Work quickly with templated versions of close buttons available on the Close button templates section of the Close button properties panel.

3. Customizing a close button

Change the icon size, weight and color on the X icon properties section:

Set color, drop shadow, border and corner radius on the Fill and border section:

4. Uploading an image to use as a close button

To upload an image to use as a close button, click on the Image option on the Close button templates section.

Once an image is uploaded, it is possible to replace it by a different file. Downloading the image back to your device or deleting it will revert the close button to the default option.
