Understanding the dynamic promotions component

The dynamic promotion component is one of the most useful tools to drive conversion and improve AOV. Dynamic promotions allow you to show the difference between a predetermined threshold and the current basket value of your customer. You can use this to push upsell behaviour like in the example below:

First of all, you'll need to check that basket value mapping is set up to use this component as it relies on this to evaluate against a target spend. If you're a managed account, this will have been set up for you.

Configuring this component couldn't be simpler - set the target spend you want to achieve, amend the copy and you're ready to go.

You may also want to combine this with a basket value target to only show when it is most relevant for users - using our example above, I might decide to only show this when a user has hit £35 so that they're only a short distance from the threshold.
