Session targeting allows you to target campaigns more precisely by reaching users at different stages of their lifecycle. This target gives you the ability to break down the returning user segment into smaller audiences, all of which may exhibit different behaviours in your longer purchase cycle.

As an example, a user in their second session on a website selling high-ticket items are probably not going to convert - showing them a campaign designed to motivate conversion will probably be more relevant in their sixth session.
