Introduction
The purpose of this Yieldify Platform Policy is to provide information as to how the Yieldify Platform operates and how we use the data we collect for the benefit of our clients and their customers.
This Yieldify Platform Policy covers the services that Yieldify provides to Yieldify clients on client websites to support them in engaging with their customers. This Platform Policy does not cover any services or activity on the Yieldify website at www.yieldify.com.
Yieldify provides onsite and email marketing that predicts and reacts to customer behaviour, serving content that is tailored to the unique interests of customers to drive conversions.
To provide this Service Yieldify collects certain categories of data from our clients’ customers that may include email addresses and information about certain activities that the customer has undertaken on a client site.
Information that we collect via our services
When a customer visits a website operated by a Yieldify client, Yieldify is permitted by the client to collect the URLs (website addresses) of the pages of the client’s website that the customer visits and may collect information on the customer activities on the website, such as the pages viewed and products that have been added into a basket.
Upon the request of the client, we may collect the customer IP address, information about the customer’s device, browser software and any operating system.
We may also collect customer email addresses if a customer enters this information on our client’s website to buy a product or service, becomes a registered customer or signs up for marketing communications. We will only collect the email address of a customer on the instruction of our client, the website owner, with any subsequent processing of this data specifically for the purposes of the website owner as the data controller.
Any customers that wish to obtain more information about the data collected by Yieldify via a specific website should review the privacy policy of the specific website and/or contact the website owner directly with any questions relating to the provision of notice and obtaining appropriate consents.
How we use the data that we collect
We use the information that we collect from our client websites to provide specific services to our clients including serving content that is tailored to the unique interests of customers to drive conversions and providing onsite and email remarketing that predicts and reacts to customer behavior.
We may use anonymised aggregated data for purposes such as improving our platform offering and the services that we provide, in addition to creating reports, insights and statistics for our services.
Sharing information with third parties
We share data with third party partners for the purposes of providing the Yieldify services, including but not limited to data storage and email delivery, in compliance with all applicable data protection laws and regulations.
We may disclose data if we are legally obliged to do so to a third party buyer or seller in the event that we buy or sell any part of our business or assets. We may also have a duty to disclose this data to comply with legal obligations including disclosure for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
How do we store the information?
Yieldify stores personal data received from our clients and their customers within the European Economic Area, save where strictly necessary for the performance of our obligations and where such transmission complies with the Data Protection Laws.
How long do we retain data?
We do not retain personal data on customers, such as email addresses, longer than is necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected on behalf of our clients.
Unless specifically requested by a client, Yieldify (as the data processor) shall retain personal data of a Yieldify client (as the data controller) customer for no longer than 90 days after a client has ceased instructing Yieldify as a data processor. All personal data relating to client customers after this 90 day period shall be anonymised by aggregating it for analytical purposes only.
Our use of cookies
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a file containing an identifier (a string of letters and numbers) that is sent by a web server to a web browser, and which may then be sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. Cookies can be used by web servers to identify and track customers as they navigate different pages on a website, and to identify customers returning to a website.

We use cookies to record a customer’s visit to a client website, record the pages the customer has visited and their onsite behaviour. We use this information to help clients make their websites more tailored to the unique interests of customers to drive conversions.
